Mel Gibson `files restraining order against ex`
Mel Gibson has reportedly filed a restraining order against the mother of his seven-month-old baby.
The 54-year-old actor started dating Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva last year, just one month after filing for divorce from his wife of 30 years Robin. Oksana gave birth to the couple`s first child, a daughter called Lucia, last October but Mel announced he had split from Oksana in April.
The reason for the break-up is not clear though it was said to be "amicable", but it appears relations between Mel and Oksana have deteriorated badly in recent weeks.
Gossip website Radar Online reports Mel filed papers for a restraining order against Oksana at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday. A bailiff served Oksana with the documents at her home in Sherman Oaks at around 5pm on Wednesday evening.
The paperwork has been sealed by the court, meaning it cannot be released to the public, but Mel reportedly also filed documents pertaining to the custody of Lucia, and his visitation rights to her.
Mel`s representative has refused to comment on the issue.
Shortly after the split was announced in April, Oksana hinted it was not as straightforward as it may seem. She claimed the reason for the break-up would emerge soon, saying: "We have split up, suddenly and recently... Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon."
Oksana also insisted she and Mel had been together for three years, and not the one year he has admitted to.
In addition to baby Lucia, Mel has seven other children.
